The list looks like this<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>700g loaf of Albany Superior Sliced White Bread, or store brand<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2-litre store brand sunflower oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.5kg Iwisa maize meal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.5kg Selati white sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2-litre store brand milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2kg Tastic rice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.5kg Snowflake cake flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>175g bar of Dettol Herbal Soap<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>9-pack of 2-ply Baby Soft toilet paper, or store brand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If some brands aren\u2019t available, alternatives are used, but our aim is to keep the products as consistent as possible every month. For a breakdown of our methodology, click&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/theoutlier.co.za\/outlier-grocery-basket\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">January&#8217;s basket<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.313), 17px);\">For the second month in a row, Food Lover\u2019s Market, our new addition, ended up being the most affordable option out of the six retailers in our comparison.
