There have been a total of 103 days without rolling blackouts in South Africa this year, but three of those were in January. The other 100 days have been continuous since 27 March. Areas of the country including the City of Joburg, however, have been having \u2018load rotation\u2019, a localised form of power management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 100 days this year is the longest continuous period without scheduled loadshedding since 2020. Last year was the worst year for loadshedding to date with outages on 335 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With just 83 days of loadshedding so far this year, 2024 is on track to be one of the best years for reduced loadshedding.
