The number of international visitors to South Africa is continuing its upward swing. Arrivals in June hit their highest level since the Covid pandemic brought the travel industry to a halt in 2020, according to data released this week by Statistics South Africa.
More than 20% of the 641,284 tourists who arrived in South Africa came from overseas. Almost half of these visitors were from the US, the UK and Australia, with 41,000 Americans visiting South Africa in June.
