The intensification of the climate crisis and the need for carbon-free power solutions is pushing the world towards nuclear. The surge in the price of uranium is a testament to the magnitude and speed of this global pivot back to a power source long considered too risky.
There are currently 61 nuclear power plants under construction globally, with 90 more in the planning stage and over 300 proposed, Bloomberg reports.
Since 2019, the metal has made more than triple the gains in gold and copper.
